This program will focus on monitoring, measuring and reporting compliance with the processes for prevention of Catheter Associated Bloodstream Infections (CABSI). The participant will learn the importance of measuring and reporting compliance to the involved healthcare personnel and leadership. In this practical, hands-on webinar, tools for compliance assessment and feedback reports will be demonstrated. An expert panel will discuss how to incorporated compliance monitoring strategies.

Marilyn Jones is the Director of BJC Healthcare's Patient Safety and Epidemiology Program where she is responsible for the development and facilitation of the Infection Control and Patient Safety programs at BJC's twelve hospitals. Over her 18-year career, she has lead outbreak investigations, quality improvement and six sigma teams preventing patient adverse outcomes. She has lead the BJC facilities in reducing infection rates by over 50% and cost avoided over 2 million dollars for the past five years.
Ms. Jones received an Associate Degree in Nursing and began her nursing career as a ward & later an intensive care nurse at Barnes Hospital. She was awarded her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, graduating with magna cum laude honors in 1988. In 2005, Marilyn completed her Masters in Public Health at St. Louis University. She is certified in Infection Control.
She has served the Greater St. Louis APIC chapter in various capacities including President. Marilyn received the APIC educational advancement award in 1992 and the Missouri-Illinois Bi-State Infection Control Professional award in 2000. She has chaired APIC's Practice Guidance Council and has been a member of APIC's Annual Conference Committee for the past three years. Marilyn has published numerous abstracts, co-authored in peer-reviewed journals and presented at local and national conferences.
